Carved by the River: Woodcut Prints by Nick Wroblewski
Carved by the River is the first major solo museum exhibition of Minneapolis native and current Wisconsin emerging artist Nick Wroblewski. Like fellow printmaker Andrea Rich, Wroblewski creates ambitious, colorful works of art drawing somewhat upon the traditional style of Japanese woodcuts, yet in a contemporary style that is uniquely his own. With inspiration from the Upper Mississippi River environment, Wroblewski creates works of various degrees of realism, often exploring abstraction, yet with loyalty and reverence to the handcrafted arts.
The exhibition is courtesy of the artist and is complemented by numerous works from the artist for sale in the MMAM Store.
This exhibition is closed between July 16-19 for the Minnesota Beethoven Festival
