The Great River Shakespeare Festival, a nonprofit, professional Equity theater company has made Winona its home since 2004. The first art quilt was designed and created by GRSF volunteers in 2011. The quilts feature fabric used in costumes and vary in theme and style. Designs for some were inspired by season artwork created by area artists. Winners of the annual quilt raffle own the quilts displayed. The Shakespeare Quilts are on display as a community exhibition in the MMAM's Oberton Education Room during the run of the 2016 GRSF season from June 22 through July 31.
Note: As this exhibition is in the Museum's active classroom, the exhibition may not be available while the room is in use.
