About Kami Mendlik:

Mendlik has become one of today’s most sought-after impressionist painters, and painting instructors; her unique strategy creates the illusion of light and form through color relativity with a simple limited palette. For nearly ten years Mendlik has been writing and illustrating a book on this unique strategy. This project was recently published and is titled, Color Relativity – Creating the Illusion of Light with Paint.

Mendlik recently received two prestigious awards for her painting “Devotions”- the OPA Bronze Medal Award, as well as the Dorothy Driehaus Mellin Fellowship which she was awarded $20,000 for Midwestern Artists at the Steamboat Art Museum at this year’s 31st Oil Painters of American National Exhibition.
